Should You Use Pulsed TIG Welding for Aluminum?

Should You Use Pulsed TIG Welding for Aluminum?

Are you ever challenged
with making long runs on your aluminum production pieces? Or maybe you just want
a little bit faster weld with welding aluminum. You can try adding the pulser to it to help you add the filler
metal to your weld puddle. And if you increase the pulses
per second on your pulser, it will actually wash the filler metal into the weld puddle for you. You could literally lay the
filler metal into the weld joint and let the machine do the work for you. So, instead of walking the torch and adding the filler metal manually, you could just take the filler metal, sit it on your weld joint, and
run the TIG torch across it.

  1. I use to do this practice, but i didn't ever know if this can be considered a good practice for aluminum, since I've Always seen the other guys dipping the rod instead of laywire technique…
But now that even a video in Miller electrics Channel says that It can be done, I feel good somehow lol
