Melting Chocolate (Microwave) from HERSHEY’S Kitchens

[ Music ]>>Welcome to Hershey’s Kitchens,
I’m Linda Stahl. If you are a chocolate lover like I am, you’re
always looking for new ways to use chocolate. Today, I’m going to be showing you how to
melt chocolate. An easy way to melt chips is to use the microwave.
Because microwaves vary so much in their power, we suggest
heating in 50 percent power. So, if you’re going to be melting a cup of chips or more,
you will place them in the microwave for one minute, 50 percent power
and then you’re going to be stirring once this time is up.
This is a slow melting process, so be patient. [ Music ]>>After each heating be sure to
stir because chocolate can be melted and it still holds its shape.
After the first heating, you want to reheat for 15 second at a time. [
Music ]>>See how easy that was, for more tips on all things chocolate, go to hersheyskitchens.com.
Happy baking! [ Music ]
