How to Set Up Miller Continuum Welding Systems


Take a few minutes to review important safety information found in the Owner’s Manual. Remember to follow all warnings, and wear appropriate safety gear. Start by unboxing your new Continuum, and removing all the packing materials. After your qualified electrician hooks up the primary cable, connect
the motor control cable from power source to feeder. Access the wire drive on the feeder, tilt the wire drive up,
attach the weld lead to the bolt on the bottom
of the drive, and tighten. Next, connect the weld
lead to the positive stud on the back of the power
source, and tighten. Connect the work lead to the negative stud on the front of the power
source, and tighten. Then, attach the work lead
to your welding table. Connect the bolt sense lead to
the back of the power source. Connecting the bolt sense lead to the work clamp is acceptable, however for optimal welding performance, place the vault sense lead as
close to the arc as practical. Connect the gas hose to the
back of the feeder, and tighten. Hook up the gun by inserting the power pin into the wire drive,
and tightening the lock. Next, connect the trigger leads just below the interface on the feeder. Install the lower drive rolls
by sliding the drive rolls in place, and twisting
the quick release tabs to lock them in. Install the lower drive roll cover, and tighten the retention screw. Install the upper drive
roll onto the carrier, and insert the pin. After flipping the power switch on, the system will begin running
through the boot up sequence. Displays will show progress as the system gets ready to weld. To setup a weld program,
go to the setup menu and select Load New Process, then select Wire Type, Wire Alloy, Wire Size, Gas Type, and Weld Process. Gas Type, and Weld Process. Don’t forget to register your
