GTAW Carbon Steel Setup Video

hello everyone we’re gonna go over a
dynasty 200 TIG machine setup for carbon steel our choice is on our left our
priority we get DC or AC for carbon steel we need to have it on direct current DC
the next button here is a process button your choice is are TIG high frequency impulse TIG lift
arc or your stick for our practices we want to have it on TIG high frequency
impulse start lift arc would be where you have to touch the tungsten off the
steel in order for it to initiate the arc our next one is output we have a
choice of remote standard we have a choice of remote TT two t hold the remote
standard is just like a gas pedal as you push the pedal down your amperage is
increase as you lift the pedal up your amperage is decrease our remote 2 t hold
would be an on and off button push the pedal down to the amperage you like as
you lift off the amperage will maintain to the highest amperage you push down to
if you needed to shut off you push the pedal all the way down and then
release it again for our circumstances we want to use remote standard the next
button we have is pulsing for carbon steel we’re just gonna leave that
pulsing off you can see it goes through the selection we have to make sure this
buttom light here is off in order for pulsing to be off the next one is a
sequence that is only related to pulsing we’ll go over that in a later video post
flow eight seconds normally it’s a second for every amperage that you have
so for running 80 amperages we would want eight seconds of post flow
this goes up to 100 after 10 seconds the the weld pool is already
coold on your post fool after 10 seconds to save time and material in lab we’re
gonna run everybody at a consistent four seconds of post flow the next one is
your AC wave so your balanced AC frequency that’ll be covered later in an
aluminum video this button here is your main amperage to dial up your amperage turn it up turn it down for steel we’re
gonna run somewhere between 80 and 110 depending on your travel speed that
covers the TIG setup for carbon steel on a dynasty 200
