Welcome back to Albany County Fasteners – Fasteners 101 Today we’re going to be talking about welding helmets, but before we do please Subscribe, Like and Share our videos. So let’s get started. I have the Carrera ArcOne helmet here. It has a nice sweat band on the helmet. Here is your adjustment in the back of the helmet. You also have top of head adjustments. Okay, inside the helmet you have three different adjustments for the filter. One is sensitivity, next one is shade and a delay adjustment. It’s really a nice helmet. It’s lightweight, simple to use. I wore my glasses inside this helmet with
no problem as you saw in the video. My glasses don’t touch the outside of the helmet. This is an ideal helmet for the occasional welder, maintenance operations guy, a company on a tight budget that doesn’t want to spend a lot of money on a welding helmet. The Carerra ArcOne one has all the functions of the big boy helmets with the price slightly over the
old-style passive helmets. The sleek modern design is inspired by a race-car style. The auto-darkening filters are ANSI, CSA and CE approved. The helmet comes in several different colors and shades and designs. Black, as you see here, which is your best budget. Carbon-Fiber, Blue Doom, Rock Star, Mexico, Top Gun, Fighting Tiger, Croc, Asylum skins. The filter’s available are the 1000F and 2,500V. We have all the helmets and filters available on our website so you can find the helmet that suits your needs. So I have here the replaceable inserts
for the welding helmet. Basically, to replace the unit, just unscrew these two nuts and just pop this off. They pop out on the inside and
it just comes right apart. This welding helmet comes with the
economy insert. So you only have a plastic top with adjustments on the top. You have a sweatband on the front that you can remove for cleaning. I’m washing or taking it off to dry and
these just snap right over those studs and in the back you have a standard adjustment that adjusts around your head. That’s the economy. It doesn’t move backwards or forwards or anything like that. Very standard. Then we have the next one and these are all interchangeable throughout all the
helmets. So the next one we have is the intermediate comfort. So this one here, you can move this backwards or forwards horizontally in the helmet for better comfort. The top has a better adjustment for the the top of your head and the back adjustment is the same as in the economy. It has no sweat band here, the same with these. These are velcroed on this unit. So
there’s some velcro on here you can just pop these off. If you want to buy additional brow pads, you can do that and you can just interchange day to day with these. This is the intimate insert. This is a pretty good unit. Then, we have the the final one which is the comfort unit. It has a back pad on it and it also has a brow pad, it actually has two brow pads here. So this doesn’t just have one band going across the front it has two for more comfort and better stability and holding the helmet on your head. It has horizontal adjustment on the top. You have no plastic bar to bother your head. These are straps and you can adjust
those straps on the side here. As you can see on both sides for a better comfort fit and the directions here will show you the proper installation. They provide that to you into the helmet and how to adjust it properly and that is the comfort insert. Please Subscribe to our channel and share our videos. Thanks for watching! There you go
